If you missed the Chamberlain Student Center’s last Poetry in Motion, you are in luck because Def Poet, Comedian and Actor, Poetri, will be performing at Prof’s Place on Thursday, October 6 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Poetri was one of the first poets to win a Tony Award in 2003 with his own material for “Best Special Theatrical Event” on Broadway. He has also showcased his poetic talent on Russell Simmons Presents: Def Poetry in front of thousands of people, and now YOU have a chance to see it!
Poetri has written and appeared in over 150 commercials for NIKE, BET, and the NFL. With several famous spoken word pieces such as “Money,” “Dating Myself,” and “Krispy Kreme,” Poetri has effectively developed a great name for himself in the entertainment business.
You definitely do not want to miss out on the self-distinguished “Poet Rock Star.”
