Emmy nominee and HBO Def Poet, Jon Goode will be performing live in Prof’s Place on Thursday, November 17 from 9pm-11pm. Over the past decade, he has performed his comedic spoken-word pieces at colleges and universities all over the world; now, he will be setting foot on the Prof’s Place stage.
Goode has been writing, short stories and poetry for more than 12 years. His work has been published in print ads by Nike, several magazines and periodicals nationwide, featured on HBO Def Poetry, and in both radio and TV commercials.
With his life-affirming poetry, Goode adds a spin to the traditional performance poetry and has established himself as one of the most influential voices in the African-American community. He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with stars such as Jamie Foxx, Tommy Davidson, Will Downing, Kanye West, and many more.
And now you have the chance to see Goode do what he does best! You do not want to miss out on the last Poetry in Motion of the semester, so make sure you attend this wonderful event courtesy of the Chamberlain Student Center!
