Five Ways to Get Involved @ Rowan University!

College is a vital point in all of our lives, as well as a learning experience. For many, it is the first time being away from home, yet a chance to develop a sense of independence. With this comes decision-making: the decision to live a healthy life, regularly attend class, and participate in extra-curricular activities on campus. It is imperative to have a balance between the things we do in and outside of the classroom because employers seek well-rounded people to fill their positions. With this being said, everyone should be getting involved to become a well-rounded individual, to build your resume, and to make the best of your college experience. For those who are unaware of how to get involved at Rowan University, here are some suggestions:
1. Ask the Student Center- The Chamberlain Student Center houses several offices that are here to help you with almost everything that goes on at Rowan.
2. Check your Rowan Announcer- The Rowan announcer offers daily information on various events that are going on, such as club meetings that may be of interest and you can attend.

3. Step outside your comfort zone- Numerous people are too shy to meet new people, but you would be surprised at how many people at Rowan are involved who could be of good influence and help you get involved if you simply talk to them.
4. Do some volunteer Work- The student center houses an office by the name of Service Learning, Volunteerism, and Community Engagement, where you can link up with others and service the Glassboro community.

5. Find your interest- There are a plethora of jobs, organizations, and opportunities for you to participate in here at Rowan, and all you have to do is ask around until you find exactly what you like.
